GOd made DIRT and Dirt DONT HURT :)

Aboput a year ago we realized Sam was ready for HIS OWN swingset... So daddy had a LARGE PILE of dirt delivered ... where it has been for a LONG TIME.... We started the tedious process of hand shoveling (well MATT not me :) that LARGE dump truck load .... Needless to say it is a hard job for Matt with his bad shoulder and the heat here in Armpit,NC.... we had the beams all staked in the ground for the playarea and the dirt halfway there.....and when Sam turned the BIG 3 in June his grandparents decided they wanted to get the SWINGSET/Playset for the backyard... He is SUPER EXCITED ... It has definately been a work in progress, and taken more time and effort than expected with our slope out back we had to get that dirt moved and more dirt brought in to level out the yard... When that bulldozer arrived ... I dont know who was more excited MAMA (to get rid of the large pile that has been at the side of my house for a year) or SAM who got to see a REAL LIFE SIZE VERSION of his favorite SANDTOYS :) What a fun morning !

Chillaxin on a Saturday

So... I honestly cant remember a Saturday in a while where I got to just realx in my house.... It is kinda nice after waking up to a bloodcurdling scream from SAM at 1:30... He mustve had some nightmare... BUT being in mama and dad's bed made it all ok for HIM he was back to sleep in a matter of seconds...How did mama sleep you ask??? I didnt know that a king size bed could feel like a single bed and that sleeping sideways was Sams new fave position ... My RIBS and back thank him :) Now Miss Emma slept like a champ from 10pm - 9 am this morn IN HER CRIB ... She is now back in her crib taking a long nap I LOVE that she is becoming such a GREAT SLEEPER:) (I was sue a good one... after my nightowl and early riser )Sam and his new BEST BUDS are hanging in his room after a morning of play ... BZZZ and Doody (Buzz and Woody) are helping him rest and ALL THREE needed a kiss night night .....

Busy week

We have had a busy week with trips to the mall... getting Sams new swingset ready.... and LOTS of yardwork... Sam LOVED the carosel and horses at the mall and he now thinks anywhere we go HAS to ride the bus..... horse.... mortorcycle.... whatever riding thing he sees .... HE just could not go without a ride on the BUS at the mall last weekend .... Emma on the other hand was content to ride in her stroller and snooze :) Thank goodnesssss she is a napper ... It makes me a happy mama.... She slept in her crib from 2 am- 6am last night for the first time ... I put her in there to see how she would do... She did GREAT.... but Hollie was a paranoid fiend, and in there 4 times fearing she would wake up and freak out and choke ... So I WAS the one not sleeping.... Sam has had a great week of sleep Not so great on the nap end :( He and I have played his new game HUNGRY HIPPO more times than I can count and if he wasnt such a cheater I might actually win a game once in a while... He is always stealing my marbles... Matt and I have decided we are SICK of MATER and MCQUEEN soooo we tried out something new and he is LOVING his new movie Toy Story 2.... We cant find the first one... HE LOVES BZZZ LILLEAR (Buzz Lightyear ) :) We got him a Buzz chair and a little WOODY and BUZZ figurine... Cant wait for him to see them in the morning... Off to bed... FINGERS CROSSED for a real 8 hrs of sleep

The LONG weekend

We had a great 4th of JULY long weekend and a BUSY ONE at that.... Matt and I spent MOST of the day (the 4th) doing yard work.... We grilled hamburgers and Sam enjoyed his new movie Toy Story 2..... I couldnt find the first one :( I think he may have a new obsession.... We made the most of our weekend hanging out with our friends the Cordonas on Saturday for yummmo Korean food and MUD PUDDLE JUMPIN for the boys.... Emma Grace SLEPT... (she is such a great napper :) ) We enjoyed the amateur fireworks displays alll around us last night (Spring Lake NEVER disappoints in that way ) I thought I would attach a cute pic of Miss Priss in her FLOWER HEADBAND ....
